Professional Development - Video Courses

Missouri S&T currently offers two non-credit video courses in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).

EMC Video Courses

Learning how to solve grounding and shielding problems on the job can be very expensive for the employer and frustrating for the engineer. Although most electromagnetic and circuit principles are simple, the complexity of many systems masks the logic and simplicity of possible solutions.

These courses present an organized introduction to the fundamental principles, clarify troublesome terminology, and demonstrate many techniques for identifying and fixing electrical noise problems.

Professional Development
After successful completion of the course(s), you will receive a certificate awarding you Professional Development Hours based on the hours required for each course. EMC Principles 2nd Edition is worth 36 PHDs; High-Speed Digital Design is worth 40 PDHs.

Fees
The fee for each of these courses is $1,500. This includes the taped lessons (available on DVD), one set of lecture notes, a course textbook, evaluation, and final exam for one participant. Additional participants from the same company and company address may enroll at the same time for an additional fee of $400 per person, if they use the same set of tapes as the individual who registered at the $1,500 fee. Participants will receive lecture notes, textbook, evaluation and final exam. All participants must finish their course within one year from date of enrollment.

These courses can be taken on their own or as part of the EMC Certificate Program. There is a discounted rate for taking both courses together through the EMC Certificate Program.

Video Course Cancellation Policy
Participants may cancel their registration within 30 days of receiving the first lesson for a 90% refund. Refund will be given after all tapes and text materials have been returned. No refund will be made after 30 days.
