Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) currently offers one non-credit certificate program in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).

Electromagnetic Compatibility Certificate Program

The EMC certificate program requires the successful completion of the two following courses.

•     EMC Principles (36, fifty-minute video-taped lectures)
•     High-Speed Digital Design (40, fifty-minute video-taped lectures)

This certificate program differs from a typical EMC short course by providing

•        greater depth of presentation
•        numerous example problems
•        evaluation of performance

Why take this program?
Most engineers and technicians using or designing electronic systems have not had formal training concerning grounding and shielding techniques. Learning how to solve grounding and shielding problems on the job can be very expensive for the employer and frustrating for the engineer. Most of the electromagnetic and circuit principles involved are simple. However, the complexity of many systems masks the logic and simplicity of possible solutions.

This certificate program presents an organized introduction to the fundamental principles, clarify troublesome terminology, and demonstrate many techniques for identifying and fixing electrical noise problems.

Professional Development Hours 
After successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate awarding 76 Professional Development Hours.

Fee
The fee for the EMC Certificate Program is $2,600. This fee includes the taped lessons (DVDs), lecture notes (CDs), course textbook, evaluation and final exams for one participant. Additional participants from the same company and company address may enroll at the same time for an additional fee of $800 per person if they use the same set of tapes as the one who registered at the $2,600 fee. The participants will receive the lecture notes, textbook, and final exam evaluation. All participants must finish their course within one year from date of enrollment.

Video Course Cancellation Policy
Participants may cancel their registration within 30 days of receiving the first lesson for a 90% refund. Refund will be given after all tapes and text materials have been returned. No refund will be made after 30 days.
